What kind of support do we provide?
We respect the individuality of each student, their extracurricular knowledge and experiences, social-emotional sphere of personality, privacy, freedom of choice and expression and equality. We monitor their progress and encourage them to achieve high results.
We provide all kinds of support to students, including mentoring, career counseling and fostering a culture of kindness and humanistic values. Based on careful monitoring of the progress of students who achieve above-average results, who are highly motivated and creative, the Primary and Secondary School, after consulting with parents and obtaining their consent, enable those students to accelerate their education and complete grades or the entire school faster, with special monitoring and encouraging of their work.
How do we work?
In our work, we use the best practices from the highly successful Finnish educational model, integrated into ES Kreativno pero through our project European experiences for a quality school, which was approved by the Tempus Foundation. The Finnish model emphasises the importance of creating a rich and stimulating learning environment, initial monitoring of students and gathering information about what students like, how they learn, how they fit in working with others, etc. This model stresses the significance of learning during class, encourages important life skills, and the work is done through research-based tasks in which the most important thing is the independence of students and the solving of problem-based tasks related to real-life situations. Much attention is given to art and creative expression.
Peer learning, work in pairs and small groups, as well as formative monitoring of student development and progress are encouraged. Based on monitoring the progress of children and students, progress reports are written that parents receive twice a year. These reports describe progress and make recommendations on next steps, allowing parents to monitor their children's development and progress.
Our Professional team carefully monitors all aspects of educational work, and together with coordinators for certain areas, introduces innovations, encourages cooperation and achievement of high-quality work standards in Kreativno Pero. In our institution, we organise activities, model lessons, where we present the use of modern methods and techniques and ICT. These activities and lessons can be observed by parents, allowing them to assess the quality themselves.
From the youngest age, special attention is paid to raising awareness of the importance of learning, i.e. conversation about why learning is important and how it can influence the choice of school, career and life. In addition, in the Finnish model, students are trained to choose and use different learning techniques, understand their advantages and possible limitations.
At Kreativno Pero, activities and classes take place in small groups, with the use of the most modern methods, forms and tools, as well as a developed system for student progress monitoring. We have interactive whiteboards in every study room/group and classroom. We believe that the use of technology should not replace traditional learning methods, but rather transform classrooms into a learning space that can offer greater collaboration and communication between students, deepen critical analysis of information, and further encourage creativity in problem solving. To make this vision a reality, we know that all students need to be digitally literate in order to properly begin the journey of lifelong learning.
In line with this, we have implemented a model in which students bring their own laptops to school for the purpose of learning.
Our early childhood educators and teachers are carefully selected, professional and motivated.
